Troop, an acronym for Total Respect of Other People, emerged in the late 1980s and became associated with the new jack swing movement steered by producers Teddy Riley, Bernard Belle, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. They bagged a slew of R&B number-one hits during the early 1990s that included "All I Do Is Think of You," their mellow, soothing take on the 1975 song of the same name by The Jackson 5. The original was released on the Motown label and initially released as the flipside to The Jackson 5's single "Forever Came Today." Troop breathed new life into "All I Do Is Think of You" in 1990 and shot to the top the US R&B chart. Their cover of "All I Do Is Think of You"—which was written by Michael Lovesmith and Brian Holland (formerly of the songwriting powerhouse Holland-Dozier-Holland)—was packed into the group's gold-certified second studio album Attitude, which reached the upper echelons of the Top R&B Albums chart.
