"... Our love has a treasure / Our hearts can always spend / And it has a story without any end," gushes Earl Grant in this soaring, sentimental love song from 1958. Written by Sidney Jacobson and Jimmy Krondes, "(At) The End (Of a Rainbow)"—which is also known simply as "The End"—was brought to an audience by Oklahoma-born organist and entertainer Earl Grant, with orchestral flourishes courtesy of the Charles "Bud" Dant-led orchestra. Earl Grant—who cut his teeth as a singing soldier at the Fort Bliss US Army Post in Texas—scored his only charting single on the US Billboard Top 40 with "(At) The End (Of a Rainbow)" for Decca Records, landing the number seven spot and staying there for 19 weeks. Earl Grant also found fame with his gold-certified album Ebb Tide (And Other Instrumental Favorites) in 1961 before his life was tragically cut short in a car crash nine years later. He was just 39.
