Written by Falling in Reverse lead singer Ronnie Radke along with Cody Quistad, and Charles Massabo, Falling in Reverse's 2019 banger "Drugs" is a high-powered electro-tinged rock anthem that squarely addresses the difficulties of addiction and the ambiguities of celebrity. "Drugs" features a special cameo from a member of nu-metal royalty, none other than Slipknot maestro Corey Taylor, while enthralling listeners with its pounding percussion, explosive guitar riffs, and soaring vocals courtesy of Ronnie Radke. DangerKids vocalist Tyler Smyth and vocalist Ronnie Radke steered the song's production, which also features Black Veil Brides drummer Christian "CC" Coma and formed the title and opening track of Falling in Reverse's Drugs EP of 2019. "Losing My Mind" and "Losing My Life" comprised the other two tracks on the EP, which followed the band's fourth studio album Coming Home (2017) for Epitaph Records.
